Types of Jandy Pool Filters

There are two main types of Jandy pool filters: cartridge filters and sand filters. Jandy Cartridge filters like the CS and CV series pool filters are cylindrical tanks with a paper element inside. 

Tip: If a Jandy filter cartridge is clogged, it can usually be cleaned by giving it a good hose down with a Water TechniX Waterwand or a soak in some specially formulated Water TechniX Filter Cleaning Solution to melt away any dirt and grime that's stubbornly clinging to your Jandy filter elements.

Pro Tip: When choosing Jandy pool filters, it’s always better to oversize. Oversizing your pool filter means that you will have longer cycles in between filter cleaning or backwashes. Oversized Jandy filters will also reduce the overall stress on your pool pumps by allowing your filters to catch more dirt and debris before the pressure increases. 

BUT when choosing a replacement Jandy filter element,  be sure to get the exact same model of your existing Jandy cartridge filter!
