Astral Pump Impeller P320

Needed to replace the impeller and diffuser as they had fused together because I didn't screw the impeller on properly to the shaft. This time I made sure the impeller was on the shaft correctly.

Install your mechanical seal over the impeller shaft, place the impeller on the motor shaft and start tightening (you will need stop the shaft spinning by using a screwdriver at the other end of the motor). Make sure the impeller is on the shaft completely. Mount the diffuser and check the impeller and diffuser are not touching or scraping against each other. If this is happening you have a problem where the impeller and diffuser could generate enough heat to melt to each other. Check your impeller is on correctly. Once they clear I quickly checked by running the hose into the pump and checking the pump was sucking and splitting the water in the correct direction.
