Quick Pool Pump Installation Guide:

Installing a pool pump is as simple as swapping out your old pump to a new one. But if the new one isn’t designed to retrofit with your current pump, then don’t worry too much, with some basic tools and some elbow grease, you’ll have your new pump installed in no time. 

  • Turn off the power to your pool equipment at the mains and switch off any valves leading to and from the pump to give you a splash free-environment while you work. 
  • Detach the pump from the power supply and unscrew the unions. 
  • Note: If you have an older pump that’s hard plumbed into your system then you may have to saw off the current pipes. Cut as close to the pump as possible. If this is the case then now might be a good time to install unions. 
  • Remove the pump and set aside. Position new pump on where the old pump previously was and assess what kind of plumbing needs to be done. It should be as simple as mounting the pump properly and screwing in unions. But if not, do the necessary plumbing work and connect your pump. 
  • Once the pump is plumbed in, open up all the valves and connect the power. 
  • Turn on the pump to see if the pump is working. Check for any leaks and that’s it!

    Bulky and Oversized Shipping - Items marked as "Bulky & Oversized" will incur a shipping charge at checkout calculated by your location. These orders may require the customer forklift to unload, OR if a forklift is not available, hand unload by the customer will be required.

    International Shipping - International Shipping (rest of the world) - Cost calculated at checkout, Estimated delivery time for international orders is 5 - 15 business days.

    New Zealand Shipping - Cost calculated at checkout. Estimated delivery time for New Zealand orders is 3 - 7 Days.

    Remote Shipping - Due to some regions of Australia being remote, we cannot ship to these locations for free of charge. If we can ship to them a cost will be calculated at checkout, if there is no shipping option at checkout our carriers cannot reach your location.

    Returns Policy

    Mr Pool Man offers easy 60 day returns for peace of mind.

    • Made an incorrect purchase? No problem, all orders that were incorrectly purchased or “change of mind” will simply incur a small $10 return shipping label fee that will be deducted from your refund, as this is what it costs to get your order back to us. 
    • From there, providing you use our Returns Centre, your return is fully tracked on its way back to us. Your return will then be processed within 10 business days of being delivered at Mr Pool Man.
    • Any initial shipping costs are not refunded.
    • If you are returning an order that is outside of the 60 day returns window, please contact us with your order details.
    • Pool Cover(s), Pool Roller(s), Pool Heater(s), Selected S.R Smith products, Filtration media (glass & sand), PCB Control board(s) and mineral salts are not eligible for return, unless standard warranty policies apply.
    • "Pre-Order" products which are custom ordered in will incur a 20% restocking fee of the product price. Suppliers also charge the same restocking fee to Mr Pool Man to return goods to them. This fee will be deducted from your refund.
