Pool Filter Spider Gaskets

Depending on your sand filter multiport model, your pool filter spider gasket will either have 4 or 5 spokes laid out in a wheel pattern. The main function of the pool filter spider gasket is to ensure that the water is channeled to the correct port when needed.

A worn or torn spider gasket can be the difference between a fully working sand filter and one that just wastes water. Spider gaskets need to be replaced around every five years or whenever you notice unusual leaks coming from your sand filter multiport valve.
